Woman Dies From Dodgy Butt Implant Procedure

A woman who paid an unlicensed doctor to give her butt implants died in hospital just moments after the procedure took place.

Kelly Mayhew, 34, drove from her home in Suitland, Maryland, USA, to a home in Queens, New York, to meet with the unqualified practicioner.

Her friend had arranged the meeting and Mayhew, who was there with her mother, started having silicone injections into her backside.

However, Mayhew soon found it difficult to breathe, according to her mother, who began CPR on her daughter.

The woman carrying out the implants is said to have got in her car and fled while Mayhew’s mum struggled to save her daughter’s life.

When paramedics finally got to the scene they found Mayhew unresponsive and she later died in hospital.

Mayhew was always fretting about her looks - particularly her backside, according to her ex boyfriend.

He revealed that she had had implants in her behind before, but the procedure had been carried out by a real doctor.

He added to The Daily Beast: “I don’t know what was going on in her mind.

“All I know is she was beautiful and she was fine the way she was…

“I guess people get caught up in today’s world and they are not happy with themselves, and they just want to change it. [Kelly] was like that.”

It is thought Mayhew made the decision to travel to New York to save thousands of dollars by having cheap surgery with the unlicensed doctor.

Mayhew apparently went into cardiac arrest during her final procedure.

The plastic surgeon who carried out the procedure is still on the run, although police said: “It’s only a matter of time [before she is caught].

“She’s not your run of the mill-type criminal.”
