Woman killed after car crashes into house in Bristol
A woman has died after a car crashed into the side of a house.
The vehicle smashed into a property in Clevedon, Somerset, around 8.30pm.
Avon and Somerset Police said significant damage was caused to the home and "tragically a woman inside has died".
The woman's family have been informed of her death, the force added.
Officers said the occupants of the vehicle, a man and a woman, have been taken into custody.
Residents of neighbouring houses on Yeolands Drive were evacuated for the night due to fears a gas pipe was damaged in the crash.

"We'd like thank those affected by this incident for their co-operation and support," a police spokesperson said.
"Our response is ongoing and emergency services are likely to be at the scene for some time."
