A woman was reportedly pushed down a flight of stairs before being punched in the face on the Essex border. British Transport Police have launched an investigation and want to speak to the man pictured following the attack on June 2 this year.

The incident took place at Leytonstone High Road overground station on the Saturday at around 8.30pm. British Transport Police said the victim was heading down a stairwell with her bike when a man approached her and pushed her.

A spokesman said: "Once outside the station, the man punched the woman in the face causing her to fall to the ground. Officers believe the man in the CCTV image may have information that could help their investigation.
