Woman sexually assaulted on bus - police want to speak to this man

A woman was sexually assaulted on a bus in a late-night attack.

The bus passenger says she was travelling on board a bus in Brighton when she was touched by shortly before midnight.

Police have since released an image of a man they wish to speak to in relation to the incident.

The man is seen wearing a green jacket with short dark hair and a dark coloured beard.

Sussex Police say the woman was travelling on board a number 24 bus in Coldean Lane, Brighton, when she was sexually assaulted by another passenger.

The incident took place at around 11.40pm on June 16.

A spokesman for the force said: “Officers are supporting the victim, who cannot be identified for legal reasons.

“They want anyone with information to come forward, and have released a CCTV image in connection with the investigation.

“Anyone who recognises the man is asked to report it to us.

“Information can be reported to Sussex Police online, quoting serial 406 of 17/06.”
