Woman spits at pub worker in 'totally unacceptable' assault

A WOMAN spat at a pub worker in an incident slammed by police as ‘totally unacceptable’.

The woman was reportedly being verbally abusive toward staff at The George Tapps in Old Christchurch Road.

It is reported she spat at a member of staff twice, connecting with their face on both occasions.

Police investigating the assault, which occurred at around 12.10pm on Saturday, May 25, have issued an image of a woman they want to identify.

Police constable Ran Hartman-Turner, of Bournemouth police, said: “Behaviour of this nature towards hospitality staff is totally unacceptable and we are continuing to carry out enquiries into this incident.

“I am now in a position to issue an image of a woman we would like to identify as part of our investigation and would urge anyone with information regarding her identity to please make contact with us.”
