Wrexham stars Paul Mullin and James McClean have taken aim at King Charles and the monarchy once again, this time during the club's celebrations in Las Vegas.

The Dragons have been stateside celebrating their promotion to League One, with Mullin posting a photo of the pair on his Instagram with the caption "And we hate the f***ing King!"

Mullin's post appears to be a reference to the song Wrexham fans sing for McClean, who has frequently courted controversy throughout his career for his political views.

The Irishman re-posted the photo with the words "We serve no king or kaiser but Ireland! Sue me". Both photos have since been deleted.

McClean did, however, appear to reference this latest controversy on his Instagram story. Posting a picture of himself with the caption "Nope. Not sorry."

The posts were made just a few days after the King's return to public duties, having undergone treatment for cancer in February.

Charles met the club's Hollywood owners back in 2022, and Prince William also visited to the Racecourse Ground a few weeks ago. Nevertheless, this isn't the first time McClean has taken aim at the monarchy.

A video emerged of McClean joining supporters in a rendition of the song at the Racecourse shortly after the club's promotion was confirmed against Forest Green Rovers last month.

Sharing a screenshot of the story on social media, McClean commented: "Is this correct? Absolutely and I also sang at the top of my lungs."

He added: "Do I make any apologies for doing so? Absolutely not."
