A Wrinkle In Time: Ava DuVernay recruits Sade, Demi Lovato, Sia and more for the film's soundtrack

A Wrinkle In Time's soundtrack lineup has been announced and it will feature the first new music from Sade in eight years.

In addition to songs from Sade, there will be tracks from DJ Khaled and Demi Lovato, Sia, Kehlani, Chloe x Halle and FreeStyle Fellowship.

Director Ava DuVernay took to Twitter to announce the news of new music from Sade, which she seemed to be in disbelief about herself.

She wrote, "I never thought she’d say yes, but asked anyway. She was kind + giving. A goddess. We began a journey together that I’ll never forget. Proud to announce that Sade has created an original song for Wrinkle in Time. It’s entitled 'Flower of the Universe.' And it’s a dream come true."

She proceeded to post individually about each of the original tracks on the record.

When announcing Chloe x Halle's track she spoke lovingly about them saying "they are wonderful young women who help me hope."

She admired Kehlani's "vibe," "voice" and "vision for herself," explaining her song "Let Me Live" is the first song "heard while watching A Wrinkle In Time."

It's no surprise that the soundtrack lineup is stellar: the cast includes Oprah Winfrey, Reese Witherspoon and Mindy Kaling.

In addition to the original tracks, the record will feature an original score from Game of Thrones and Westworld composer Ramin Djawadi as well.

A Wrinkle In Time is based on Madeline L'Engle's classic sci-fi novel of the same name

The star-studded feature film hits theatres March 9.
