The semi finals of this year’s X Factor were always going to be tense. After last week’s shock exit of fan- favourite Honey G, viewers were complaining that the show was losing its oomph factor.
But the last remaining of Sharon’s ‘Overs’ category wowed fans and quickly became the bookies’ favourite to win the whole ruddy thing.
Her first song which, following the Christmas theme, was Mariah Carey’s All I Want For Christmas Is You, didn’t impress all the judges. Simon Cowell admitted that he expected more from her.
But her second half rendition of Sia’s hit Chandelier had everyone in raptures.
It was the same song that made Nicole’s bottom clap in the auditions. Hard to believe that just a few short weeks ago Saara’s mentor, Sharon Osbourne, couldn’t even remember her name.
After her second performance, Saara pushed ahead in the polls and became favourite to win.
Even the massive dress and weirdo production didn’t put Saara fans off.
And Twitter loved her too. Obviously. She was hailed as ‘amazing’ by some fans.
Others thought she was the clear winner, by far:
Only one winner….. Saara……the others come no were near…. #XFactor

Only time will tell if she’s done enough to, ahem, Finnish first.
