X Factor’s Frankie Cocozza Is Working With Britain’s Most Dangerous Prisoner - CHARLES BRONSON (?!)

You know when you have those really weird dreams that make NO SENSE whatsoever? Like, you end up having a rap battle with the Queen, or you’re running through the woods chased by Tess Daly and Trevor McDonald and you don’t know why?

Well today, one of those ‘W.T.ACTUAL.F’ dreams we had about 2 ½ years ago has actually come true.

Yes folks, it appears we’ve well and truly crossed over into the Twilight Zone this morning, as it’s emerged that publicity-shy X Factor alumnus Frankie Cocozza is now collaborating with none other than Charles Bronson.

Uh-huh. THAT Charles Bronson. 'Britain’s Most Notorious Prisoner/Dangerous Man’ Charles Bronson.

No, we’ve not overdosed on our Valium, this is apparently an actual thing that is actually happening.

It all started – as it often does – when Frankie and his band mates were watching an interview with our fave, Tom Hardy, who played Bronson in a biopic about the prisoner’s life.

Speaking to The Sun, Frankie said: “I was watching an interview with Tom Hardy from when he played Charlie in the film Bronson. He was talking about advice Charlie had given him on his broken heart.”

“At the time, me and my guitarist Dom could relate. We decided to write him a letter asking for his wise words and told him about the band.”

“We asked him for a drawing for the front cover and he went one better and wrote the lyrics to put music to.”

The 62-year-old has spent 36 years in prison to date, and has had to be moved over 120 times because of the threat to other prison officers and inmates.

Frankie’s new BFF’s convictions so far include: armed robbery, wounding, wounding with intent, criminal damage, grievous bodily harm, false imprisonment, blackmail and threatening to kill.

Just a bit misunderstood, right?

Charles’ song (who, by the way, is now called Charles Salvador, in homage to his favourite artist, Salvador Dali) will feature on Frankie’s band’s new EP, out in a couple of weeks.

Better get down to HMV pretty sharpish then – we bet the queue will be out the door for this one!
