Two XL Bully dogs have been seized from a property in St Neots after a woman and a young dog were attacked. The attack took place at a property in Cromwell Road on Saturday (June 22).

The dogs were seized after a warrant on Tuesday (June 25). Both dogs were unregistered.

A Cambridgeshire Police spokesperson said the woman "received puncture wounds to her skin". No arrests have been made and the dogs have been taken to a vet.

From February 1, it became an offence in England and Wales to own an XL Bully without an exemption certificate. The animals must be muzzled and on a lead in public, among other restrictions.
