Yahoo News Yahoo Sports Technology Awards 'best start ups' revealed
The Sports Technology Awards, partnered with Yahoo Sports, have revealed the best sports tech start ups of last year.
The ‘STA Start Ups’ recognise the best businesses which look set to take their place in the industry over the longer term.
The awards, born out of success of the Sports Technology Awards, meet a clear market need for outstanding young businesses to gain commercial advantage through third-party endorsement of their work.
The awards and winner in each category are revealed in the video above.
The Sports Technology Awards confirmed a partnership with Yahoo Sport, the mobile destination for sports superfans.
Yahoo Sport will become the Awards’ headline sponsor, meaning the event will be known as The Yahoo Sports Technology Awards throughout 2018 and 2019. The Awards will be hosted at The Roundhouse in London on May 3rd.

Prior to the announcement, Alex Inglot, Sportradar Director of Communications, was asked why Sportradar partnered with the STAs for the Startups this year.
He said: ‘Sportradar was delighted to have the opportunity to work with the STA StartUps as this enables us to deepen our link with innovative technology.
‘Technology is at the heart of everything we do as a business so we wanted the chance to demonstrate this as well as showcase our ongoing support of young businesses and entrepreneurs.’
