Showtime has released a brand-new trailer for the second season of Yellowjackets — and it teases a major reunion.
The survival drama follows a team of high school soccer players who survive a plane crash deep in the Canadian wilderness. The action flashes back and forth between 1996 and the present day as the girls' adult selves reveal the truth about their survival.
The second season picks up two months after the tragic death of Jackie (Ella Purnell), and tensions are starting to rise as the girls face a new threat: winter.

The new footage also verifies Natalie's (Juliette Lewis) survival, and there's a brief shot of the long-awaited reunion between adult Taissa (Tawny Cypress) and adult Van (Lauren Ambrose).
It looks like season two is going to give us all the drama (and probably another cliffhanger), so it's a good thing co-creators Ashley Lyle and Bart Nickerson are banking on another three seasons.

"The original plan was about five seasons, and we feel like we're still on track for that," said Lyle.
"We don't really see this as being more than a five-season show," she went on to say. "I think that there are shows that can go forever, but I think that when you're telling such a deeply serialised story and it's about these characters' lives, you want to reach a satisfying conclusion and not just drag things out forever.
"This isn't really one of those setup shows where it can go anywhere. So far, we've been really on track. Season two is largely what we always planned, but you do make a lot of discoveries along the way and so it's always a little bit surprising."
Yellowjackets season 2 premieres Friday, March 24 on Showtime in the US, with a UK release date TBA for Sky and NOW users.
