Zelensky calls for ‘coalition’ of jets after talks with Sunak at Chequers

Volodymyr Zelensky called for a “coalition” of jets to help Ukraine during a surprise visit to the UK on Monday 15 May.

“Today we spoke about the jets. A very important topic for us because we can’t control the sky,” the Ukrainian president said, speaking from Chequers.

Mr Zelensky added Ukraine and the UK were “real partners” with Rishi Sunak knowing details of developments on the battlefield.

“We want to create this jets coalition and I’m very positive with it. We spoke about it and I see that in the closest time, you will hear some, I think very important decisions but we have to work a little bit more on it.”
