The A14 was closed in west Suffolk after a vehicle caught fire.

Emergency services were called to the blaze on the westbound carriageway near Risby, between Bury St Edmunds and Newmarket, at about 3.40pm on Tuesday.

A spokesman for Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service said the vehicle is 'well-alight' in a lay-by.

The westbound carriageway was closed, but has since reopened.

Appliances from Bury St Edmunds and Newmarket were in attendance.
