Bafta To Honour Best Video Games At Awards

Post-apocalyptic survival game The Last Of Us leads the way with the most nominations ahead of tonight's Bafta video games awards.

The title, developed by Naughty Dog, is nominated in 10 categories, including best game and artistic achievement.

Grand Theft Auto V (GTA V) received nine nominations, with LittleBigPlanet's Tearaway coming next with eight.

GTA V is a British success story, becoming the fastest-selling entertainment product in history and contributing millions to the gaming industry.

A total of 43 games have been recognised across 17 categories, which showcase the best games of the last year and the creative talent of both British and international development teams.

Last year's winners included Journey and The Walking Dead.

The awards take place at Tobacco Dock in London and will be hosted for the sixth consecutive year by comedian and gamer Dara O Briain.
