Ireland Baldwin In Rehab For 'Emotional Trauma'

Ireland Baldwin, daughter of Kim Basinger and Alec Baldwin, has denied she has checked herself into rehab because of intensive partying.

The 19-year-old model told her fans she is being treated at the Soba Recovery Centre in Malibu as she struggle to deal with "emotional trauma".

"God ... Grant me the serenity tonight," she wrote on Twitter, "'Intensive partying' haha.

"Apparently I'm in rehab for intensive partying soooo I'm just going to lay pretty low for a bit and maybe get some frozen yoghurt.

"I checked myself into Soba for two weeks to just get away for a little bit. I'm not much (of) a party cat but I am here (to) deal with some emotional trauma and getting the intensive therapy I needed in order to recover."

The teenager, whose parents divorced in 2002 after acrimonious court battles, added: "Some day I'll feel ready to share my story openly without feeling the way I do. Right now I just needed a breather.

"I needed a chance to work on myself and gather all the tools I need to overcome everything that I had been through and rid myself of all the pain I locked away in unreachable places."

She added: "Everyday is a blessing. You don't even know the half."

Baldwin had recently been in a relationship with rapper Angel Haze.

Alec Baldwin is expecting his second child with his wife Hilaria. In 2007 a voicemail was leaked where the actor was heard calling his then-11-year-old daughter a "rude, thoughtless little pig".

He admitted to having "suicidal thoughts" after it was made public.
