Is this the most dangerous playground in the world? Workmen accidentally create 'slide of doom'

Bungling workmen accidentally created the world's most dangerous playground

Bungling workmen accidentally created the world's most dangerous playground - after digging this massive hole at the bottom of a slide.

A team of construction workers excavated the cavern to get to a burst sewer pipe beneath the children's play area.

But they failed to properly rope-off the site, meaning children can still climb up the steps and slide directly into the 10ft-deep hole.

The playground, outside a block of flats in the city of Tolyatti, Central Russia, is still open to the public despite containing the potentially deadly drop.

Local nightclub promoter Katrina Savenkova, 23, said: "This is crazy - why do they do this?

"There is nothing to stop any child from climbing up the steps and then sliding into the hole - they could die.

"It is a busy play area, I hope they fix it soon."
