Yeates' Killer To Face Further Police Probe

Child Abuse Images On Murderer's Laptop

Joanna Yeates' killer Vincent Tabak is facing further questioning by police - this time over pornography found on his computer.

After he was found guilty of Miss Yeates' murder on Friday, Sky's crime correspondent Martin Brunt revealed how the Dutch engineer had a secret fetish for pornography .

"Images found on his computers showed men gripping female victims by the throat in the same way he killed Miss Yeates," Brunt said.

He added that detectives also found Tabak paid for sex with a prostitute during a business trip to Los Angeles two weeks before killing the landscape architect.

But the Bristol Crown Court jury was never how videos found on Tabak's computer hard drive had chilling parallels with the way Miss Yeates died.

Nigel Lickley QC told the court it was necessary for Tabak to be questioned about the matters, but spoke cryptically in order not to reveal the full details.

The prosecutor said, following questioning of the killer, a decision would be made as to whether proceedings would be commenced.

The pornography is said to have depicted blonde women being throttled during sex or bundled into car boots.

Avon and Somerset Police have refused to give any more information on what he may be questioned about.

Following Friday's verdict, Detective Chief Inspector Phil Jones said there was no indication Tabak was linked to any other attacks.

But police added they had been in contact with officers in Los Angeles and in Holland in a bid to build up a bigger picture of the convicted murderer.

Tabak was jailed for life after a jury took three days to find him guilty of murdering 25-year-old Miss Yeates.

Her family wished his life to become a "living hell" and regretted that the death penalty was not an option , as his perversions for violent pornography and prostitutes were revealed for the first time.
