A five-year-old boy has become the youngest person to pilot a plane alone - thanks to his 'Eagle dad'.

He Yide, nicknamed Duoduo, manned an ultralight aircraft by himself for 35 minutes at Beijing Wildlife Park in China.

The boy's father He Liesheng, who calls himself an 'eagle dad', paid 30,000 yuan (£3,153) for private flying tuition.

He told China's 'Global Times' he would contact the Guinness World Records to register his son as the world's youngest pilot.

But the stunt is not the first time the father and son have received worldwide attention.

Last year footage of He went viral as he was filmed performing a gruelling fitness regime in the snow in New York wearing just yellow underpants, socks and trainers.

Then four-years-old, He was seen performing pushups to the stern orders of his father.

At one point, his tiny arms pressed to his chest to keep warm, he asks: "Please give me a hug."

At the time He Liesheng told news outlets his son had been born prematurely and the training regime was to toughen him up.

In addition to the flying lessons and strict exercise routine, He is put through a rigorous academic schedule.
