Before Shane and Dipi say goodbye to Erinsborough to start their new lives in Sydney, there is some business to take care of – including who will be the new manager of Harold's Store in Dipi's absence.

The timing works out quite well for Nicolette, who has recently started working there after being barred from nursing, so she throws her hat into the ring as a potential candidate. But Dipi is unsure she is the right choice, leading to Chloe speaking up to plead her case.

Nicolette has been rattled since she learned that Chloe has feelings for her and has been trying not to rush into anything with the grief that Chloe is feeling over Fay's death. The two have a chat about their feelings at Harold's Store and it does not take long before they are both hiding in the kitchen and locked in an embrace.

Unfortunately, that is the moment that Jane, Aaron and David walk in and they catch them in the act. Will Chloe and Nicolette have the support of the families?

It has been a rough year for the Rebecchis and since they arrived in 2017 they have been through a lot – including their marriage nearly coming to a nasty end. But now they are back on the same page and the time has come for them to head off for a new start in Sydney.

Friends and family gather on Ramsay Street to wish them both farewell and Shane and Dipi have an emotional goodbye before setting off – but not before Shane and Toadie take to the turf for one final wrestling match…

With Karl in serious trouble with the police following his arrest over Olivia's accident, Susan and Bea are desperate to try and find a way to help him. It soon dawns on them that they have more power in the situation than they realised, and that Olivia is not the only person that can tell their story – they can do it themselves.

They propose to Olivia that if she drop the charges against Karl, they will do her interview for the book but if not, they will write it themselves. Will a furious Olivia agree to their demands?

5. Paul's behaviour causes concern

If Paul Robinson is acting shifty then there is every reason for those around him to be concerned – and alarm bells certainly start ringing for Terese next week. It seems that Paul has some money troubles that he is trying to hide, and he begins to take a keen interest in every aspect of the business.

That includes firing Ned from The Hive as he thinks it is not making as much cash as it should, and he even starts looking at ways to cut costs on basic repairs that need doing around the complex. What is Paul hiding, and how serious are his money problems?

6. Is Harlow repeating her mother's mistakes?

Following the dramatic end to her relationship with Hendrix, Harlow has been growing closer to Brent and the two seem to be in a good place – even though she has no idea of the trouble that Brent has found himself in.

But her eyes are opened to her choices in romantic partners when she reads Prue's diary and starts to see some striking similarities between the choices that they both made when it comes to the men in their lives. Will Harlow end things with Brent?

7. Aaron's worries may be unfounded

After walking in on Chloe and Nicolette kissing, Jane, Aaron and David are stunned that the pair are together, and Aaron is unsure whether them rushing into something is a good idea.

Luckily, there is the welcome distraction of the reveal party for the sex of the baby, and the good feelings that it brings goes some way to alleviating Aaron's worries – particularly when he sees how happy the newly loved up couple are together. It seems happier times are on the horizon for the Brennan clan, but how long will it last?

8. Ned and Yashvi try to clear the air

Ned received a shock when he intercepted a call to Yashvi from Mishti about her transferring over to work for the police in Sydney. Despite Yashvi insisting that she was just trying to find out what her options were, Ned is hurt that she would even consider something so massive without talking to him first.

The two do have a heart to heart later in the week and are able to move past the awkwardness that the situation has caused, but does Yashvi still see a long-term future in Erinsborough?

9. Brent and Emmett both cause problems

Aaron and David are given cause to think that they may have taken on more than they can chew next week when they have to deal with problems caused by both Brent and Emmett. It is Roxy who alerts them to Emmett's behaviour when she starts to grow tired of him following her around all the time.

As for Brent, his behaviour seems to be turning for the worst and the pair are shocked at how little he seems to think about others. Will Aaron and David have to rethink letting them stay?

Now that Olivia appears to be out of their lives for good, Karl and Susan hope that they can finally put the memory of Finn to rest – but it turns out that Bea has other ideas.

Having floated the idea of telling her own version of the story, she decides that it is something that she feels she needs to do in order to properly move on herself. But with the Kennedys very much opposed to everything being dredged up all over again, will she still go ahead with the idea?

Neighbours airs weekdays at 1.45pm and 5.30pm on Channel 5.
