#1in5Muslims: Twitter Titters At Sun Front Page With Funny Muslim ‘Facts’

Twitter users have mocked the front page story of the Sun newspaper by making up funny fake “facts” about Muslims.

On Monday, the Sun published a story on its front page under the headline, “1 in 5 Brit Muslims’ sympathy for jihadis’, pointing to a poll it had carried out in the wake of the recent Paris attacks.

The newspaper has faced numerous complaints about the article, with many questioning its polling methods and interpretation of the results.

But many Muslims took to Twitter to mock the Sun rather than complain about it, using the hashtag #1in5Muslims to poke fun at the newspaper.

The tweets included references to former One Direction singer Zayn Malik, the TV sitcom Friends and even Batman.
