Yahoo News 2021 Honda Civic Prices Rise $250–$1050 as Lineup Shifts
The 2021 Honda Civic sedan starts at $22,005 and the hatchback starts at $22,955.
The sedan is no longer available with a manual transmission, but the hatch still is.
This will be the final year of the tenth-generation Civic, as a redesigned model will arrive for the 2022 model year.
The tenth-generation Honda Civic enters its final model year for 2021, and there are a few small changes to the lineup. The sedan's base price rises $1050 to $22,005, as the manual transmission that was previously standard equipment is no longer offered.
All 2021 Civic sedans come with a CVT automatic, previously an $800 option on LX and Sport trims. Prices for the EX, EX-L, and Touring trim levels are up by $250 compared with the 2020 model. The sedan's LX and Sport trims come with a naturally aspirated 2.0-liter inline-four, while the higher trims come with a turbocharged 1.5-liter inline-four.
The hatchback lineup still offers a six-speed manual for Sport and Sport Touring trim levels, and its prices rise $250 across the board. It now starts at $22,955 for the LX trim and ranges up to $30,155 for the loaded Sport Touring hatch. All Civic hatchbacks come with the turbo 1.5-liter inline-four as standard.
Honda announced that the Civic's coupe bodystyle would no longer be offered for 2021, and confirmed that a new generation of the Civic is on its way for 2022. Expect the 2022 Civic to debut sometime next spring and go on sale later next year. In the meantime, 2021 Civic models are on sale now.
