The Premier League will announce Manchester United and Manchester City's schedule for the 2024/25 season on Tuesday, June 18.

Although Erik ten Hag enjoyed a brilliant first year in charge at Old Trafford, United have regressed this term and winning the FA Cup is the only hope of salvaging the campaign. They face City in the Wembley showpiece with Pep Guardiola's side chasing a domestic double.

City have a chance to make history in the coming weeks by becoming the first side to win four successive Premier League titles. The Blues are currently four points behind Arsenal but have two games in hand and have been widely tipped to defend their league title.

United and City fans will be excited to see which new players are signed and there is also anticipation for the announcement of the Premier League fixture list for 24/25 on June 18. The dates for all 380 matches in the Premier League will be released and the 24/25 season will consist of 33 weekends, four midweek rounds of matches and one Bank Holiday matchweek.

The campaign starts on 17 August 2024, 90 days after this season concludes, and the final match round will be played on 25 May 2025.

Sheffield United have officially been relegated and two from Burnley, Luton Town and Nottingham Forest will join the Blades in the Championship next term.

Leicester City and Ipswich Town, who are managed by former United coach Kieran McKenna, have been promoted from the Championship, while Leeds, Southampton, West Brom and Norwich will compete for the final promotion place in the play-offs.

McKenna, whose playing career was cut short age just 22 due to injury, is highly regarded in the coaching sphere and joined United in 2016 to take charge of the Under-18s. He eventually progressed to the first-team staff under Jose Mourinho and continued on the coaching staff after the appointment of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. After Solskjaer was sacked, McKenna departed and took his first job in management with Ipswich, which has seen him secure back-to-back promotions.
