  • Kia has teased the refreshed 2025 EV6 crossover, expected to be shown in full later this year.

  • The images show revised lighting, with angular C-shaped LEDs in the headlights.

  • The EV6 will also likely benefit from the same larger 84.0-kWh battery pack that the Hyundai Ioniq 5 is gaining for 2025.

The Kia EV6 burst onto the scene in 2022 with a sleek design, spacious cabin, class-leading charging, and a high-performance GT model that churns out 576 horsepower. Now, after just a few years on sale, Kia is readying a refresh for the EV6, publishing two teaser photos that show off the electric SUV's restyled headlights and taillights.

As teasers go, these two images are quite revealing. The new look appears to bring the EV6 more in line with other recently revealed electric Kias, such as the EV5 SUV that won't be offered in the United States.

The headlights now feature an angular C-shaped LED accent, which hooks over the main headlamp to connect with a thin trim piece that imitates the shape of the "Tiger Nose" grilles seen on the brand's gas-powered offerings. The taillight is still a single piece that sweeps up and over the tailgate, but it features a new LED graphic that terminates in a triangle.

While no images were shared, we expect Kia will also update the cabin too, possibly with a new screen layout and revised controls on the center console. In terms of hardware, there shouldn't be any drastic changes. If the EV6's sister vehicle, the Hyundai Ioniq 5, is any indication, the refreshed 2025 model could gain a larger battery that boosts range by around 20 miles.

The EV6 and 2024 Ioniq 5 offer a 77.4-kWh unit as the larger battery option, but for 2025, the Hyundai has upgraded to an 84.0-kWh pack. The entry-level 58.0-kWh battery pack should remain as is. There has been no official debut date announced yet, but we expected to see the refreshed 2025 Kia EV6 in full within the next several months.
