More than 20 new homes have been given the green light in Wells-next-the-Sea with construction set to begin this month.

The Holkham estate will build the 23 properties at Hobbs Close, to the south of Ashburton Close.

The 23 homes will consist of 10 affordable homes across different tenues and three will be retained by Holkham for private rent.

The other 10 will be available for purchase from spring 2025.

Work on the 1.73 acre site will take around two years to complete.

For the duration of the project, a new construction entrance will be in place off the B1105 to avoid disruption to Home Piece Road.

The homes on Hobbs Close have been designed to complement the local area and will be built using a blend of traditional and modern methods, materials and aesthetics.

James Bracey, general manager for planning and development at Holkham, said: “We are passionate about delivering quality and well-designed new homes for people living in Wells-next-the-Sea and are confident these properties will help meet local demand.

"We’re pleased to have been given the go-ahead and look forward to delivering this site.”
