24-year-old man arrested for aggravated burglary released on bail

A 24-YEAR-OLD man from Poole has been arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary in Ashley Road and released on bail.

The man was arrested after two knife-wielding men were seen entering a property on June 25.

A large police presence was seen in Ashley Road after it was reported with another man later seen 'dripping in blood'.

A spokesperson for Dorset Police said: "With regards to the incident in Ashley Road on June 25, the arrested man has been released on police bail as enquiries continue."

The man covered in blood was followed by multiple police officers which included unmarked cars and armed officers, however, no injuries were reported.

A spokesperson for Dorset Police on June 25 said: "Dorset Police received a report at 6.13pm on Tuesday 25 June 2024 of an aggravated burglary at an address in Ashley Road in Poole.

“It is reported that two men were seen by members of the public to enter the property in possession of a knife.

“There will be an increased police presence in the area while enquiries are carried out.

“Officers from the local neighbourhood policing team can be approached by anyone with any information or concerns."
