Here are 27 of the best pictures from Warrington Walking Day 2024

WARRINGTON Walking Day saw crowds flock to the town centre once again, as around 30 groups took part this year.

Despite a bit of rain, each group took part with a smile on their face and held their banners with pride.

Crowds lined the streets ready to watch the procession make its way from The Golden Gates and through the town centre.

Starting at 10.30am were St Elphin's, who traditionally lead off the walk, and the last to set off were St Andrew's at 11.09am.

Mayor of Warrington, Cllr Steve Wright, watched the procession as one of his final acts before he passes on the chains to Cllr Wendy Johnson on Monday, July 1.

The sound of bagpipes and drums filled the streets of Warrington with music as the groups made their way around the town.
