Jennifer Aniston mentions sex toys on The One Show

Blurting out a one-liner about sex toys in front of an audience of disabled children is the kind of career move you might associate with someone like Alan Partridge.

Luckily, we think Friends actress Jennifer Aniston is well-loved enough to just about get away with it.

The 47-year-old star made the pre-watershed howler on last night’s edition of the One Show while plugging her new movie Office Christmas Party.

Presenter Alex Jones innocently asked the movie’s producers: “What’s Jennifer like to work with? Is she Rachel from Friends or Horrible Bosses?” In case you missed it, Jen played a sex mad dentist called Julia Harris in the latter.

Producers Will Speck and Josh Gordon deliberated over the answer, before finally deciding on “a bit of both,” saying: “I mean she’s sweet and incredible but in a positive way she’s also a boss, in a good way, in a positive way.”

At which Jennifer guffawed: “Just without the sex toys!”

Oops.

Oops. Naturally, Twitter went wild at the actress’s gaffe.

“Note to BBC when you book Jennifer Aniston best tell her about sex toys & the watershed & not to say she dislikes “I’ll be there for you” said one viewer, also picking up on Jen’s less than complimentary comments about the Friends theme tune.

“Jennifer Aniston did not come over well at all during that interview on The One Show. Someone asked her a question & she yelled “WHAT?!” added another.

Oh dear, still, at least viewers were united in marveling at Ms Aniston’s youthful good looks on the show. Keep it up, Jen!
