Wolves striker Fabio Silva's agent has disclosed that the ex-Rangers loan player is eyeing a move to either Italy or Spain for the upcoming season.

The 21-year-old forward is on the lookout for a new challenge after four tough years at Wolves, where he hasn't managed to secure his place. Despite being a promising talent for Portugal's Under-21s, Silva's time in the Premier League seems to be up, with Wolves prepared to part ways with the player they signed from Porto for a hefty £35 million back in the summer of 2020.

He is entering the final year of his contract and an exit for the striker would seemingly make sense for all parties involved to give him a chance to kickstart his career, and Wolves a chance to recoup at least some of his losses.

Silva has had loan spells with Anderlecht, PSV, and Rangers, but his agent Carlos Oliveira has confirmed that there are opportunities awaiting in Italy.

When questioned about interest from Bologna and Fiorentina, Oliveira told TMW: "Fabio is among their options. Giovanni Sartori, who I consider a master, and Bologna's sporting director, Marco Di Vaio, appreciate Fabio. Raffaele Palladino, Fiorentina's new coach, also likes him a lot. We will have to wait and see how the market evolves, also because there are some clubs that need to sell before making new additions."

Silva, once hailed as one of Europe's up-and-coming talents, is yet to live up to the high expectations set for him. That's precisely why Oliveira is keen to secure a new permanent club for him, with Serie A and La Liga being the top choices, reports Football Scotland.

He commented: "I believe it is essential that he manages to stabilize himself in a club where he feels the trust of the club and where he can have good playing time for at least two seasons in a row. He is still very young, he is 21 years old and has immense potential, he will have to work hard and stay focused on his goals. The striker is a particular role, many mature over time and patience is needed."

"I think it's an excellent championship [Serie A] for him, we are prioritizing the Spanish and Italian markets for next season. I believe that one of the two championships will be the next step for Fabio. Yes, there was a lot of interest at the beginning of the season and then also in January. The Italian market is a bit particular, many clubs conclude their final transfer deals in the last few days."
