Casualty spoilers follow.

Casualty fans were treated to double the drama in the ED tonight (May 8) as the show aired not once but twice.

With twice the amount of twists and turns to digest, we've broken down all the main talking points and the biggest questions we've been left with:

1. Has Lev made a breakthrough?

Both of tonight's Casualty episodes marked a turning point for Lev, as he finally realised that he didn't have to be alone in his reality.

After realising that his colleagues didn't care whether or not he was gay, Lev took two major steps: first returning to work and then reaching out to his former lover Xander.

Xander agreed to meet a delighted Lev, but are happier times awaiting Lev now?

2. What now for Jade?

Tonight's second episode was hugely significant in Jade's ongoing story, as she was haunted by harrowing memories of the night her drink was spiked.

Determined to get revenge on spikers – any spiker – Jade joined forces with Robyn in testing everyone's drink at the scene of the crime.

Sure enough, Jade did manage to stop another devastating ordeal when she realised that Avery – a stranger they'd met in the bar – had spiked Robyn's drink.

After swapping the drinks to ensure that Avery consumed the drugged one instead, Jade wanted to take her revenge further but was urged by Robyn to be true to herself and help him.

Robyn also implored Jade not to let her terrible experience define her, but what does the future hold for her now?

3. Will we see Ciaran again?

Ciaran returned to the ED tonight – but in a slightly different guise. Ciaran, aka Connie Beauchamp's former enemy, was unveiled as CEO of the Harrington Street Clinic – the clinic that performed the vaginal mesh operation on Marty's mum.

Ciaran only turned up at the hospital to warn Marty to stop 'harassing' his staff, but will we see him again? That remains to be determined but we can confirm that Ciaran has only returned as part of Marty's story and won't be filling Connie's formidable boots.

4. Will Bibi be ok?

Poor Bibi's problems went from bad to worse tonight, when she's rushed back into the ED with new symptoms.

She and Marty were then left further distraught when they discover that her pain was the result of a Pembury embolism, caused by the vaginal mesh.

At the end of her tether, Bibi broke down during a conversation with Jan, prompting the paramedic boss to take action. Speaking of which…

5. Can Jan and Marty fight for justice?

Despite promising her wife Ffion that she will stay out of trouble, Jan was moved to action after speaking to Bibi.

Realising the awful impact the mesh has had on Bibi's life, Jan agreed to Marty's risky plan and vowed to take Ciaran down with him. But can they get justice for Bibi or are they playing a dangerous game?

6. What happens next?

Next week on Casualty will predominantly focus on Rash as a secret about his past is revealed, while Tina struggles with her reawakened grief and sparks fly between Iain and Faith.

Casualty continues on Saturday, May 15 on BBC One.
