80s Heaven: Miami Vice Ferrari For Sale But It Will Cost You £500,000

If you ever dreamed of owning a classic piece of the 80s then you could buy the actual Ferrari from cop show Miami Vice.

The white Ferrari Testarossa has just 16,000 miles on the clock and was one of two that were used in the show by Don Johnson’s character, James ‘Sonny’ Crockett.

It has been in storage since the show ended in 1989 but now it’s going up for auction.

However, you’re going to need to remortgage your house to buy it as it’s expected to sell for around $800,000 (£500,000).

Still - that is still a lot less than the $1.75 million (£1.1 million) that it had originally been put up for sale for on auction site eBay.

The luxury car features tan leather seats, a top speed of 180mph and can go from zero to 60mph in just 5.2 seconds.

Sonny didn’t actually ride it until series three of Miami Vice, having used a black Ferrari Daytona Spyder replace in the first two series.

The white Ferrari has had a £5,000 engine service and comes with paperwork that dates back to when it first arrived at the Universal Studios lot.

Mecum Auctions wrote in its listing for the sale, that takes place on August 15: “Crockett and Tubs may have ridden off into the sunset.

“But the Miami Vice Testarossa remains an enduring icon of one of the most influential television series of all time.”

Can anyone lend us half a million quid?
