A crashed car in a tree has been turned into golden street art

Anything can be art.

If you want proof, then take a look at these photos.

They show a car that crashed into a tree in an area of Melbourne, Australia recently.

Nothing too arty about that, you might think.

But someone has given the grey car a flashy gold spray paint job, turning it into a piece of art.

The Toyota Camry had been abandoned - with its keys in the ignition, in North Fitzroy, Melbourne.

It was left in a pedestrian island just off a roundabout.

But a mysterious street artist saw something in the abandoned car that no one else did, and spray painted it gold.

The car is now the talk of Twitter.

Pictures of the vehicle from the front and the rear were posted online by Twitter user @KimAroundTown.

She tweeted: “So @VictoriaPolice if a stolen car is left with no attempt to clear for a week the Fitzroy North artists will do what they do. #goldfinger”.
