Foodies and football fans will be flocking to Aberdeen beach this summer to enjoy some of the tastiest treats in town - as well as the final matches of the Euros.

Organised by Codonas Amusement Park, the ‘Backyard’ event is a gathering of Aberdeen’s hottest food vendors in a unique outdoor market style.

And following on from the success of ‘The Beach Fan Zone’ screening the Euros matches at Queens Links, Backyard continues the summer of football by showing the remaining matches on their 200 square foot LED screen whilst providing the best in food and drinks at the beach.

The first ‘Backyard Beach Collective’ event in 2021 proved a huge success - and once again Aberdeen’s best food vendors have signed up to take part.

This year it will feature tasty treats from ‘Smoke&Soul, Haydn’s Woodfired Pizza and ‘Dirty Dogs’ plus Rosemount favourites Hot Sushi, Tucán and The Bagel Society.

Drink offerings are in collaboration with Fierce Beer, Cocktails curated by Ten Dollar Shake and spirits supplied by House of Botanicals.

“We are beyond thrilled to be attending an unparalleled summer experience at Backyard At The Beach this summer,” said Ramona Obafemi, Founder at The Bagel Society.

“This collaboration brings together the best of both worlds - our mouthwatering bagels, amazing drinks in a fantastic fun location – we are promising an unforgettable summer season of food and drinks.

“The whole team is really hyped up about this project and can’t wait to cook for you some epic bagels.”

Robert Fenton, owner of Haydn’s Woodfired Pizza, added: “We are looking forward to working at the Backyard again this summer. We had an amazing time when it was last held and felt it was a real boost for the beach area.

“With the addition of the big screen for the culmination of the Euros we expect it to be even more popular with people in and around Aberdeen.”

Backyard will be running every weekend from Friday, June 28th, until Sunday, August 25th, plus extra midweek days/evenings for the Euros matches.
