Adam Thomas says 'news is finally out' as he shares joint announcement with brother Ryan

Adam Thomas has told fans the 'news is finally out' as he shared a joint announcement with his older brother Ryan. The pair have recently been spending time together in Portugal where former Coronation Street star Ryan celebrated his 40th birthday.

Ryan's fiancee Lucy Mecklenburgh pulled out all the stops for her other half as she organised a sun-soaked bash for the birthday boy which took place over the weekend with Adam, his wife Caroline and their two children - Teddy and Elsie - among those enjoying the fun.

Meanwhile, Adam's twin Scott was seen flying out with his niece, Ryan's daughter, Scarlett Thomas, with friends including former Corrie co-stars Richard Fleeshman and Chris Fountain, EastEnders' Dean Gaffney and Scarlett's Waterloo Road co-star Hattie Dynevor, who is the daughter of Corrie icon Sally Dynevor.

Reflecting on the weekend of celebrations on his special day on Monday, Ryan shared a gorgeous snap of him gazing adoringly at former The Only Way is Essex star Lucy as they showed off their bronzed glows by an inviting pool.

He also shared snaps of himself enjoying the occasion with his pals while son Roman and nephew Teddy were also seen in a brilliant video being cheered on as they partied with the group. The Dancing on Ice 2024 winner captioned the post: "You made my 40th unforgettable. Love you my angel @lucymeck1."

But Ryan has seemingly shared another highlight of saying goodbye to his thirties as it was revealed recently that he and Adam will be the hosts of a new ITV game show, called 99 To Beat.

In their first presenting role together, Ryan and Adam, 35, will preside over all of the nail-biting action, offering playful commentary while guiding the 100 contestants through the experience as they go head-to-head in a range of simple, quirky and often hilarious games.

According to ITV, 99 to Beat is the game show that anyone can win, but there’s one rule players must follow if they’re to be in with a chance of walking away with the cash prize – don't come last! As contestants battle it out against each other, each round will see the number of players whittled down until one person takes the top prize.

Sharing a bunch of beaming snaps of the pair taken while in Portugal, Adam said on Instagram on Tuesday (June 11): "Ok so the news is finally out!!! Me and Ryan will be hosting our very own game show… 99 to BEAT!!

"This is a dream come true for both of us and we cannot wait to get started!! Moments like this don’t come often and we’re going to enjoy every BEAT of it!!!! It literally is the perfect family game show and the fact we get to host it as brothers-doesn’t get any better! What a way to turn 40 my brother @ryanthomas84 happy birthday! We always said one day we would work together and am so happy it’s this!!"

Adam, 35, added: "This wouldn’t be possible without you guys, so a big thank you to our team\family @mcsaatchimerlin and also to @itv for believing in us…let the games begin!!! 99 to Beat has only one rule 'don’t come last!!'"

Ryan then reshared the post to his Instagram Story and said: "Turning 40 & about to hsot our very own game show together is literally a dream come true. '99 To Beat', we can't wait for you guys to see it! @itv."
