Adorable baby panda refuses to wake up after zoo keeper interrupts his nap
An adorable giant panda cub has been caught on camera resolutely refusing to wake up as his keeper attempts to bring his nap to an end.
The zoo worker can be seen patting the panda, rubbing his tummy and picking him up in a valiant attempt to wake him.
But the dozy creature curls up into a ball, even covering his eyes with his little paws, as he continues his efforts to snooze peacefully.
Eventually, the keeper gives up and leaves the sleepy cub alone.
The footage was taken at a Giant Panda research base in Chengdu, South West China.
It shows the lazy panda, named Cheng Shi, when he was a young cub.
The video was released this week by iPanda, a streaming service that films the animals at the research facility in China.
Lazy Cheng Shi was born at the Giant Panda centre in 2016. He was given the nickname ‘Little Grey’ because of the distinctive markings on his fur.
The video of Cheng Shi’s tantrum has been seen by more than 3.4 million people on Weibo, a popular social network in China.

Earlier this month a giant panda was spotted wandering through a village in Sichuan Province.
CCTV footage released by the Chinese state broadcaster shows the black-and-white bear strolling along the street and wandering through a surprised resident’s vegetable patch.
The bear was identified as 11-year-old Zhenzhen, who was born in a zoo in America and returned to China in 2010, where she was released into the wild.
Following her adventure, Zhenzhen was recaptured and returned to the China Conservation and Research Center for the Giant Panda.
