Air ambulance lands at Cheshire farm as teenager taken to hospital following crash

The air ambulance landed at a Cheshire farm yesterday after a crash. A 19-year-old woman is in hospital after the collision on a farm off Peover Lane, Congleton.

The woman, who had been driving along a farm track, came off the track and fell into a ditch on Monday evening (January 24). Police were called around 7.05pm to the farm on Peover Lane, Congleton. Paramedics and firefighters and North West Air Ambulance also attended, according to Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service.

The woman was released by paramedics and taken to hospital. Her injuries are not thought to be life-threatening or life-changing.

Police described the vehicle as a 4x4. Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service described the vehicle as an 'all terrain vehicle'.

A spokesperson for Cheshire Police said: "At 7.05pm on Monday 24 June police were called to reports of a collision at a farm on Peover Lane, near Congleton. Officers attended and found a 4x4 vehicle had come off a track and fallen into a ditch.

"The driver of the car, a 19-year-old woman, was released from the vehicle by paramedics before being taken to hospital. Her injuries are not believed to be life threatening or Life changing."

A spokesperson for Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "Firefighters worked alongside police and paramedic colleagues to attend to a casualty following a collision involving an all terrain vehicle. The crews stabilised and secured the ATV while the casualty was cared for by paramedics and helimed."

A spokesperson for North West Air Ambulance Charity said: "We can confirm that the North West Air Ambulance Charity was called to an incident in Congleton on the 24 of June, H72 responded."
