Air ambulance scrambled after bus and car crash near Peugeot garage

An air ambulance was scrambled to the scene of a bus and car crash in Bulkington. As well as the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance, West Midlands Ambulance Service (WMAS) also sent an ambulance to the scene on Nuneaton Road, close to the Peugeot garage.

It followed reports of a collision between a bus and a car. The driver of the car, who has not been identified but is a woman aged in her 30s, was left injured.

A WMAS spokesperson explained: "We were called to reports of an RTC on Nuneaton Road in Bulkington, Bedworth just after 6.30pm yesterday. An ambulance and the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance were sent to the scene where, on arrival, crews discovered there had been a collision involving a bus and a car. The driver of the car, a woman, was already out of the vehicle. She was assessed by ambulance staff and taken to University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire for further treatment.!

Police were also called to the scene and a Warwickshire Police spokesperson appealed for anyone who was in the area at the time of the collision to come forward. "Any witnesses can go to the police website or call 101, quoting incident number 270 of June 23."
