Aldi’s new pink unicorn gin is set to make your Bank Holiday weekend extra magical

The August Bank Holiday is the last one of the year – sob! – until Christmas, so needless to say, this one needs to be extra special.

Whether you’re planning to head to a BBQ, have a boozy picnic in the park with friends, or simply while away the lovely, long hours in the comfort of your home, it’s time to break out the fancy tipples.

For anyone with a sweet tooth and a love of all things sparkly, we have the ultimate drink up our figurative sleeve. Well, Aldi has at least.

The budget supermarket is known for stocking all sorts of weird and wonderful gins on its shelves (think Gingerbread, Rhubarb and Passionfruit to name just a few).

Now it’s adding a ‘unicorn’ gin liquor that tastes like marshmallow and candy floss to its offering. The super sweet drink even shimmers when shaken - just add some Prosecco to make it the perfect pour to impress friends and family.

The enchanting bottle, which looks as though it could have apparated directly from Hogwarts’ potions classroom, is made by The Infusionist Small Batch and will be available online and in-store from August 22.

The best part? It costs less than a tenner at £9.99 for 50cl. What a steal!

As well as the unicorn gin, Aldi is also dropping a huge 10 more spirits online and in-store, including Ballycastle Strawberries & Cream Liqueur (£9.99, 70cl), Crossbones Golden Rum (£14.99, 70cl), Didsbury Tutti Frutti Gin Liqueur (£13.99, 50cl) and Mezcal Eterno Joven (£34.99, 50cl), the first ever Mezcal to be stocked in the supermarket.
