The name Wilder originates from the Old English surname Wilde, which means "wild, untamed, uncontrolled," according to Behind The Name. Meanwhile Patrick is a boy's name of Latin origin meaning "noble, patrician". It's believed Wilder's middle name, Patrick, could also be a tribute to Anne-Marie's late father Paddy.
