Ant McPartlin and wife Anne-Marie Corbett welcome first child together

Ant McPartlin and his wife Anne-Marie Corbett have welcomed their first child together. It marks the television host becoming a dad for the first time.

The couple shared the news on social media, delighted at the arrival of their beautiful baby boy. Ant and Anne-Marie decided not to go public with the pregnancy on social media, however shared the news on Instagram of his arrival on Tuesday, May 14.

Captioning the post, it said: "Welcome to the family. Wilder Patrick Mcpartlin. Born, 14/05/24 at 8.54am Baby is beautiful, Mummy’s a legend, Sisters are over the moon. Dad’s a mess."

Ant and Anne-Marie, who tied the knot in 2021, were soon flooded with messages on the social media post from famous pals to share their congratulations with the couple reports the Mirror.

His fellow TV presenter, Davina McCall, penned: "Arggggghhhhhhhhhh!!!! This is AMAZING !!!! Congratulations to ALL of you." First Dates star Fred Sirieix added: "Congrats." Ashley Banjo quipped: "Congrats guys," while Joel Dommett chimed: "I LOVE THIS."

Another fan commented: "I've never been so happy for someone I've never met. You're going to be the best daddy Ant." While someone else added: "Beyond happy for you Ant the final piece of the puzzle to make all your dreams come true congratulations to you, Amzie, Poppy, and Daisy. Enjoy every second of little Wilder."

Anne-Marie, who previously worked as Ant's personal assistant, has two children from a previous relationship. Sharing the couple's happy news earlier this year Ant would become a dad, a source told The Sun: "This is the news everyone wanted. Ant and Anne-Marie are beyond delighted. It's no secret that Ant has always wanted children, but that it may never happen for him was something he had, sadly, come to terms with.

"When they found out last year, they were absolutely delighted, but obviously kept the news quiet for as long as possible. To be having a child two years short of his 50th birthday, with the love of his life, is the stuff of dreams for Ant.

"He's already a wonderful, doting father to Anne-Marie's kids, and together they're going to be brilliant parents to this latest addition to the family."

Ant and ex-wife Lisa Armstrong had a bitter public split after 11 years of marriage. Speaking previously, the television host opened up on his desire to become a dad one day.

The Geordie presenter previously opened up about his and Lisa's fertility battle in a 2013 interview with Radio Times, sharing: "There's a rumour that we do everything together and I'm holding off having kids till Dec finds himself Mrs Right. I love that idea, but I'm afraid it's not true. Lisa and I would love to have kids. We're trying."
