Ara Mina defends sister in Velez-Reyes conflict

The issue between the actress' sister Cristine and Vivian Velez was blown out of proportion

9 Mar - Actress Ara Mina has recently come to her sister Cristine Reyes' defense, following reports about the latter's conflict with actress Vivian Velez.

As reported on Rappler News, the actress revealed that she heard about what happened between the two and has even spoken to sister Cristine about it.

Ara said that she decided to release a statement before her sister because she was unhappy that the issue has been blown out of proportion.

"Cristine is being judged even before she could tell her side of the story," said the actress.

Ara also stated that her sister had wanted to talk to Velez about the issue, but was ignored by the actress.

"I wish that everything will be okay between the two of them," she said.

The conflict between Velez and Reyes was first reported on 6 March when the former announced online that she is quitting her new drama, "Tubig at Langis", following a conflict with one of her co-stars who she claimed to have acted rudely towards her.

In a subsequent interview, Velez admitted that the co-star in question is lead actress Cristine Reyes.

Reyes has yet to respond to the issue at the time of writing.
