Armed police swooped on a Cardiff suburb after a report of a robbery. Officers from South Wales Police were called to the woods behind Pentwyn Leisure Centre on Tuesday, May 21.

A red e-bike was reported stolen from a 22-year-old man and an 18-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of robbery, the force said. They added that armed officers were deployed "as a precaution to ensure the safety of officers and the public."

"The suspect is in custody and an investigation is on-going," a spokeswoman for the force said.
