Armed police swarm Stoke-on-Trent street after 'reports of man with air rifle'

Armed police have been deployed to a Stoke-on-Trent street after 'reports of a man with an air rifle'. Staffordshire Police were called to Mornington Road, in Sneyd Green, at 8.13am today.

A 29-year-old Stoke-on-Trent man has been arrested in connection with the incident. He is being questioned by officers today.

A police spokesman said: "We were called to reports of a man with an air rifle and windows smashed at a property on Mornington Road. Firearms officers attended and a 29-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession of an air weapon with intent to cause fear of violence. He remains in custody."
