Artists have offered their own takes on cinema classics by creating unique film posters — and fans can buy them.

Somerset House has invited artists from Dalston’s Print House Gallery to fashion posters inspired by films including All The President’s Men, Jaws, Cruel Intentions and Blow-Up.

Among the prints on sale is Lucille Clerc’s take on Blow-Up, Antonioni’s cult Swinging Sixties classic.

The poster combines its star David Hemmings, who plays a fashion photographer who believes he may have captured a murder on his camera, with scenes from the film.

Other artworks include Steve Wilson’s poster for All The President’s Men, the 1976 thriller starring Robert Redford and Dustin Hoffman as the reporters who uncover the Watergate scandal.

The free exhibition, with the posters on sale for £60, runs alongside the Strand venue’s summer film season, which ends on August 23. Other films being shown include Richard Donner’s The Omen, Donnie Darko and black comedy In Bruges, with a series of talks and DJ sets before the screenings.
