Aston Villa suffer Morgan Rogers set-back ahead of Europa Conference League semi-final decider
Morgan Rogers was forced off injured in Aston Villa’s Premier League clash against Brighton. The 21-year-old sat on the grass in the 25th minute awaiting treatment from the medical team before deciding he couldn’t continue.
Rogers was replaced by Matty Cash, who is now operating on the right wing instead of Leon Bailey, who pushed over to the left side.
He is the latest injury blow Villa have suffered in recent weeks, following the likes of Emi Martinez and Youri Tielemans.

Both players missed today’s match with Brighton due to respective hamstring and groin problems. Alex Moreno returned to the bench this afternoon after overcoming a calf injury.
Rogers has proved himself an inspired January signing since moving from Middlesbrough, starting the last eight Premier League matches and scoring three goals.
He has also played five times in the Europa Conference League and would likely have featured in Thursday's semi-final second leg as Villa look to rein in Olympiacos' 4-2 advantage.
