Below, Stardust dives into what each element can reveal about who you are in the bedroom—and what to look for in a potential partner.

Fire Signs: Aries, Leo, Sagittarius

With fire as their guiding element, these four zodiac signs like to keep things steamy. They’re passionate, dynamic, and sometimes a bit impulsive, which means they’re known for heated love affairs that can also be pretty brief. When it comes to sex, they like to take charge, but that doesn’t mean they won’t pay attention to what their partners want—in fact, they’re very attentive and open to communication.

“They like to be the best partners ever—even requiring feedback throughout the course of the encounters,” Stardust says. “Fire signs totally aim to please and are the most eager lovers ever.”

Fire Signs like to change things up and keep things interesting, which is integral to their sex drives. If things become stale or follow too much of a routine, fire signs will get bored and likely look for something new. Their ultimate fantasy, according to Stardust, is sex in a public place or “anywhere that is thrill-seeking and adventurous where they can get caught or in trouble.”

If you ever find yourself in bed with a fire sign, don’t be afraid to take the backseat a bit. “Letting them take the lead in the bedroom will lead to maximum pleasure,” Stardust says. These signs tend to know what they’re doing, and they’re more than happy to show off their skills.

Earth Signs: Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn

Earth signs tend to be very sensual and rooted within physical pleasures. They value stability and loyalty, which means they tend to look for long-term relationships rather than fleeting flings, but that doesn’t make them boring lovers. Stardust says that above all, these signs value creativity when it comes to sex; anything that can make an earth sign feel fully grounded in their experience will turn them on. “Earth signs like to feel as if they are in their bodies, so they may like light BDSM or kinks that allow them to be present in the moment,” Stardust says.

While an earth sign will likely appreciate you thinking outside of the box in the bedroom, be sure to talk about any kinks you might want to explore to make sure both of you are comfortable. It’s important not to generalize, because not all earth signs will be into the same thing.

It’s a good idea for both of you to discuss beforehand what you’re comfortable saying—an air sign will be all about ongoing consent (like all signs should be).

Yet because water signs go with the flow of their feelings, they tend to take the opposite approach to sex. “Water signs have a fear of not being in control, as they are often not in the driving seat when it comes to their emotions,” Stardust says. “As a result, they may want to take the lead during a sexual encounter or experiment with dominance with a willing partner.”

To get a water sign going, there needs to be emotional security established between partners. Though they will have the occasional hookups, water signs value long-term relationships for this reason.

Like with earth signs, thinking outside of the box is key with water signs. They can be very dreamy and romantic, so they appreciate a bit of novelty, especially if it makes them feel special. “Cuddling and sweet kisses turn water signs on,” Stardust says. “Foreplay and role playing is also extremely important to them, as they like to get creative with their imaginations when getting down with their partners.”
