After the sad news of The Cranberries’ Dolores O’Riordan’s death, it was revealed she was in London to record music with Bad Wolves.

However, the singer was meant to be doing a vocals session for Zombie with them the very morning she passed away, which has now prompted the five-piece rock band to record their own version of one of the famous track.

The band’s official statement revealed the money made from the single will go to Dolores’ three children.

‘It was the greatest honor to know she liked our version and wanted to sing on it,” says Bad Wolves singer Tommy Vext. “We’re deeply saddened by the sudden loss of Dolores and by the fact that she’s leaving behind three children so we are donating the proceeds from the song to her kids.’

Here’s the haunting, pitch-perfect version from Dolores and The Cranberries.

While there’s no official music video for the Bad Wolves single, the audio on its own has been released. Listen to the poignant rendition below.

Delores was found dead by staff at the Park Lane Hilton Hotel in London on the morning of 15 January.

The 46-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene with an initial death declaration of ‘unexplained’ now referred to as ‘not suspicious’ by Scotland Yard.

Since the indie singer’s death was made public, online sales for her solo and band’s music exploded.

According to TMZ, album sales increased by over 900,000%, after various releases practically took over the Amazon and iTunes charts.
