A teenager is injured in hospital after being stabbed in an attack in east London.

The 19-year-old suffered two stab wounds in the overnight attack in Barking in the early hours of Tuesday.

Police were called to the scene in Longbridge Road at around 2.25am, Scotland Yard said.

Two further victims were found nearby with minor injuries, which police believe to be assault related.

Scotland Yard said the first victim was taken to an east London hospital in a non-life threatening condition.

A spokesman for Barking and Dagenham police said: “Male, aged 19, being treated in hospital following [a] stabbing in Longbridge Road, Barking, at approximately 2.30am. His condition is stable.

“Two others found with minor injuries. No arrests and enquiries continue.”

Longbridge Road remained closed throughout Tuesday morning as police investigated the stabbing.
