BBC Breakfast presenter Carol Kirkwood makes "doggers" blunder

From Digital Spy

BBC Breakfast presenter Carol Kirkwood has made an awkward "doggers" blunder live on air.

The presenter was hosting the weather for the morning programme on Monday (August 10) live from Greenwich Park in London.

While describing the pleasant conditions outside, Carol made an awkward slip of the tongue while trying to describe the "dog walkers and joggers" in the park – instead referring to there being "lots of doggers" before correcting her mistake without even laughing.

"Good morning everybody and Greenwich Park is one of the oldest enclosed of the royal parks and look at it," she said. "Fabulous. The sun is beating down.

"We've seen lots of doggers – lots of... not doggers, of course. Lots of dog walkers and joggers around here through the course of this morning."

Thankfully, Carol has been able to laugh about the incident since.

Tweeting later on Monday morning, the presenter jokingly scolded herself for the blunder, before apologising to fans.

"So commendable how you kept a straight face – ever the professional," replied one fan.

"How you managed to carry on throughout that, we salute you," said another.

In other BBC Breakfast news, Dan Walker recently hit back at claims he used his BBC influence to get a haircut.
