Hairy Bikers star Si King has declared there won't be a Hairy Bikers show to continue without his beloved late co-star, Dave Myers.

It comes following the heartbreaking loss of Dave Myers, who Si, 57, co-hosted the BBC programme with, after he died following his battle with cancer earlier in February. Si is uncertain of his future career now, but has firmly told fans that the cherished name of the Hairy Bikers will cease to continue in Myers' absence.

In a moving interview reported by the Daily Star with The Observer Magazine, Si expressed: "It can't be the Hairy Bikers 2.0. That's not going to happen. It wouldn't be respectful."

Beyond coping with the personal grief of losing his best pal, Si conveys that their joint escapades can no longer progress. He said: "There's obviously the sense of losing your best mate. But there's also a sense of loss in that the experiences we had together can't go on..." He firmly states: "There is no Hairy Bikers without Dave. Because it's plural."

Contemplating his solo journey ahead, Si considers how challenging forging a path alone could be, revealing: "I need someone to play off. I'm good at unpacking people. I'm genuinely interested in people's stories."

Si remains hopeful about his professional future and is keen to continue pleasing the Hairy Bikers' fanbase.

Sharing his intentions, he continued: "I don't think as a creative person you ever stop being creative. How can you retire from yourself? Do I want to do more books? Yes, I do. Do I want to make more programmes? Yes, I do."

Adding: "It would be incredibly churlish not to say thank you to our fanbase. I sincerely hope that whatever I do next they come with me and we start another journey together."
